Fraser's Restaurant Kings Park
Editorial
Certain occasions call for a very special restaurant where the likelihood of disappointment in food or service is extremely rare. Whether it's a marriage proposal, impressing an international guest or asking your boss for that well-deserved raise, Fraser's Restaurant is sure to win you compliments on choice of venue. Perched at the top of Kings Park, overlooking the city skyline and the sparkling Swan River, the views are nothing short of spectacular. The brains behind Fraser's are none other than Chris Taylor - also responsible for well-known restaurants like Bluewater Grill, The Old Brewery and Indiana. Taylor has been in the hospitality industry long enough to know fresh is best, and his menu at Fraser's Restaurant reflects this with premium West Australian produce.
The entree and main menus feature a delicious range of local seafood, prime cuts of meat and other culinary delights, sure to temp even the fussiest of mother-in-laws and executive bosses. If, like myself, they are particularly fond of a certain entree dish, such as the pan-fried goat's cheese gnocchi with basil, tomato, pine nuts and rocket, they will be suitably impressed when they find out all entrees are also available as mains. With dishes like crispy fried soft shell crabs, wok-fried confit of baby octopus and spiced beef fillet with dhal, pumpkin and fetta, there's no surprise that many diners don't even make it past the entree menu. But those who do will be equally impressed with dishes like the roast lamb rump and the sensational 150-day fed sirloin of Angus beef with spiced pumpkin and broccolini. If your boss is a sucker for a good steak, the latter is sure to win you two thumbs up in the pay rise department!
