The Davilak Tavern is simply a pub. That's right. No chicanery, no fancy menu and no inherited culture; this is a true Aussie pub. Sure, there aren't many around (with everyone cashing in on the Irish/English pub phenomena), so the Davilak is almost trading on a novelty. Not that you'd find anyone here playing it up. This is a no-pretension joint of cold beer, sport and good ol' tucka.
The Dav has a few places to park your weary bones in the main bar, the TAB around the other side of the bar and some chairs and tables for you to enjoy a good meal on. Speaking of which, the grub is reliable enough to set your watch by: chicken parma, steak with mushroom sauce, fish and chips, it's all here. Wash it down with a cold Carlton Draught or a Guinness (they're known for pouring a perfect Guinness at this pub) and Bob's your Uncle.
The footpath tables are usually packed during the warmer months, be that with locals, travellers or folks from the other side of town wanting a change of scenery. Enjoy a full meal or just a few rounds of drinks and soak up some afternoon sun. You might even need a sickie the next day to come back and do it all again.

Tis pub used to be very good but has recently been updated and is no longer as this promo reads. Not recommended for the mature person - Very rude travellers behind the bar.

The new sbh is by far better than the old dav. The meals are outstanding and the service excellent. I along with many others do not have a bad word to say about the place. Staff go out of there way to make you feel welcome and you cant help but want to return. Change is good and it will be the dav no more

the sbh is awsome. The food is 1000 times betta, and they have the hottest barmaid in perth. (we know she taken geeza!) It tis now our new sunday sesh bar. The manager helps me with mi bets and i get winners! ITs heaven in the sbh

I've been to this pub and love it because it has warm cosy feel about it.
