Zander's
Editorial
If you're going to enjoy a late afternoon cocktail, you may as well throw in some ocean views, sea breezes and crisp white sand. Zander's, located opposite Cable Beach, offers patrons all three. No wonder, then, that it's so popular. The lounge bar boasts polished wooden floors, plush burgundy couches, high ornate ceilings and a central bar with plenty of room to pull up a seat. And while the surrounds seem stylish and cosy, the place really comes into its own as the sun begins to set and sea turns a fiery crimson.
The view is spectacular and Zander's have an extensive cocktail menu to accompany it in similar fashion. Whether it's a traditional Martini or something more tropical, Zander's bar staff are all professionally trained and happy to create something appropriate. Alternatively, you can opt for a glass of wine, imported beer or neat spirit if that's more your scene. The wine selection is also quite extensive, so if you've got an evening spare and a designated driver it's worth a thorough exploration.
A full selection of tapas is available to accompany your drinks, but if you want something more substantial the downstairs restaurant has been nominated for multiple-awards. Specialising in modern Australian cuisine, it offers casual dining throughout the week in a sleek, no-nonsense fit-out. Book an outside table and you can enjoy the view and accompanying breezes.
