The words ??island paradise' come to mind when entering the Tiki-inspired confines of the Hula Bula Bar. But what can you expect from a bar that looks like a cross between the psychiatrist's office from Twin Peaks and a set of South Pacific? Fruity cocktails? Yes, sir! Hula Bula specialise in not only kitsch decor, but have an expert team of bartenders mixing and shaking up a storm behind the bar. Rum, coconuts and more rum figure heavily on the list of ingredients, but they can also whip up a treat for you if your tastes lay beyond seasonal fruits.
Although you may first wince when a friend suggests you meet at Hula Bula, once you park on a wooden stool and get into a few Mai Tais, the charm of this bar really does set in. Sure, cocktail specials will keep any place packed, but when the crowd stays on long after happy hour is finished, you can be sure there's more than cheap booze behind it. The staff - for one - are some of the friendliest you'll meet - such a pleasant surprise from the trendy folk who serve (word used in its loosest possible sense) behind some of our city's other, boutique bars. Add to this an upbeat line-up of DJs on weekends, and you have a cute little bar you can call your own.

Great lil Tiki Bar hiddden away in the CBD..Quite small but very friendly,the detail of this bar is fantastic..from the decorations on the walls to the tiki jugs. The Cocktails are strong so get ready for a fun night with friends you cant be stingy,try a bucket and share. Can get very busy early in the evening,if going with a group, phone and ask when the quiet times range from as there can be a line.

I was busting to get to the Hula Bula Bar as i had found it online prior to my holiday in Perth.I took a friend with me and we had a brilliant time.Not only are the surroundings amazing,the staff were great and we spent the nite drinking divine cocktails and taking countless pic's of every nook and cranny. The Island Nite on the wednesday nite was a awesomeand the atmosphere perfect.The D.J with his old vinyl records topped off a brilliant and unique nite out.Cant wait to return soon

I have never had a bad night at Hula Bula. The staff there are lovely and know how to make almost any cocktail you can name. The atmosphere is awesome and the decor is themed to perfection. I consider Hula Bula to be one of the best bars in Perth.

Went for after works drinks at the Hula last night, arrived at 4pm just as they opened, the Mai Tai's were amazing, staff lovely and by the time we left at 7pm people were queuing to get in. Lovely staff, whacky decor but fab atmosphere. Would recommend as it will bring a smile to your face.
