Fenian's Pub
Editorial
There are some people who dare not stray within the confines of a hotel bar. The lobby bar, steeped in a history of business trip indiscretions (Is that a wedding band?), has long held an image of ill repute in the public's collective psyche. Thank God there are bars like Fenian's pub to dispel the ghosts of the past and bring us bravely into a bold, new, boozy world.
Located in the Novotel Hotel Langley, Fenian's is naturally your first port of call come St Paddy's Day. The beauty part is, you're thereafter bound to call the place your local. Stepping inside and pulling up a stool at the bar, it's no quiz to see why the place is a regular haunt for the area's locals, not just the travelling flotsam and jetsam; Kilkenny and Guinness on tap, plus a dozen or so more, is your starter for 10. Couple that with a more than decent bar menu, all enjoyed in the alfresco dining area, and you've got yourself a 2nd home (assuming you have the 1st one).
Fenian's also offer live music most nights of the week. A range of covers, rock and pop acts hit the skins, strings and keys to give you a little spring in your step as you head to the bar for yet another pint of the Lord's own black liquid. Who knows, with all this at your heels you might just find yourself checking in indefinitely.
