A popular metro destination, and one of the busiest beer gardens around, the Brisbane Hotel is a touch of cosmopolitan charm with a dash of uber chic. Looking like a New York loft apartment, or something straight out of Wallpaper magazine, the hotel serves an impressive range of beverages alongside a tempting, seasonal menu. And with one of the biggest beer gardens about, has to be the most popular spot over summer. Grab a jug of your favourite tap beer and park on a table with some friends for a relaxing Sunday session.
A sizable list of wines comprise the extensive wine list. While Australia makes up most of the offering, there are some Euro and New Zealand drops to keep the wine buffs happy. Try a bottle of the Pepperjack Shiraz Viognier with your lamb rump and you won't be disappointed. And for those lazy, summer days in the beer garden, choose from an impressive list of microbrews, imported boutique and Australian beers. There are even a few brews you'll find hard to get elsewhere, like Staropramen, a lager from the Czech Republic, or a Blue Tongue Ginger Beer - a surprising, alcoholic treat.
