The risk with trying to be a little bit of everything is that you can more often than not end up with a big average mess. While some places are content with wearing the ‘jack of all trades master of none’ cliché, 399 Bar excels in several areas. Firstly, the service is excellent. Attentive and well-informed staff abound and their cocktail making skills are none too bad either. The Martinis are perfect. Food-wise all bases are covered from the egg and bacon roll – prefect for the morning after with a Bloody Mary. The evenings see a good selection of tapas.
