Northbridge's Tong 86 is a little bona fide outpost of Korea in Perth. The large, warehouse style space bordering on stark, or stylishly minimal, whatever way you look at this sort of design. Where the authenticity kicks in is the menu - it may not be sprawling, but what it does it does so to a tee. Genuine Korean flavours instil every simply-presented dish, and the barbecue aromas permeate. It's fun getting stuck in and cooking your own meal, and hey, it keeps the prices down too, so lap up some soju and get stuck in. One little warning, the service isn't always the cheeriest, but the Korean pop video projections will make you smile.
