Mela is a surreal mash-up of Indian and American culture, looking sort of like a diner with its tile floor, basic cafe furniture and cutlery in steel tubs on the table propping up menus. Then the fabulous mural and bucket-like lampshades bring a Bollywood explosion of yellow and pink to the table. It's odd, that's for sure, but who the hell cares when the food is this good. Authentic flavours explode across the palate, and even better leave the wallet looking decidedly healthy despite awesome portions. This is carnival food at its finest, as if magically transported form the side streets of Delhi or the sweet houses of Bombay.

# Its one of the best indian restaurants i ever been to. The curries are the best, i have been to almost all the indian restaurants in perth but i find mela is the best as far as food goes and great sweets. Its all perfect, keep up the good work..
