Fuse Bar
Editorial
The whole pub is a beautiful old Queenslander-style pub dating back to the 1900s. They've kept the façade (well they had to now that it's heritage-listed), but the interior is awash in modern finishes, with a few original features like the old fireplaces and ceilings. Fuse has had possibly the most dramatic makeover, with a shiny new metal bar, that to be honest, doesn't really match the building, but there are plenty of comfy chairs and areas for after-work drinks.
The new restaurant next door, now called Chimes, has a modern Australian menu that blends East and West, while the upstairs area features a corporate function room and 'scarlet' function room, which is just screaming for bucks nights' strippers, but seriously the staff are more than happy to cater packages for functions, meals and hotel accommodation. The Northbridge is walking distance to the CBD and Hyde Park and overall marks the emergence of a fancier feeling to inner Perth.
