Perth is slowly but surely embracing its laneway spaces in a way that feels organic, rather the more overtly government-instigated approach of Sydney. Ezra Pound was at the forefront of the movement, and is a truly genuine and unique little spot tucked away on Williams Street. Think prohibition speakeasy and you are halfway there. An electric atmosphere is maintained with a strict no creeps, all respect attitude enforced. Exposed brick walls, an apparent hole in the wall, and cute, candlelit benches are the perfect place to enjoy their fabulous cocktails, some even served in old jam jars.
