Have a go at the Swan Hotel's open mic nights, or just grab a pint of your favourite and enjoy the waterfront views.

Editorial

North Fremantle can be an interesting place, what with it being flanked by water on either side - essentially Perth's answer to the boot ??shape' of Italy. Weird resemblances aside, the Swan is a local icon, of sorts, a Mecca for those after a healthy fix of live music and plentiful suds. Divided into distinct sections, you can go from a relaxed, pub vibe to rowdy, basement music den in mere steps.

Known far and wide as a music venue of high repute, the Swan has hosted many well-known names on their live stage - names like Jet, Donna Simpson, Front End Loader and more. The Basement bar is where everyone gets their music freak on, in the cosy and comfortable confines of this ?cave'. Open mic nights are also popular, with local talent cutting their teeth on the Swan Basement stage.

Drinks wise, you'll find the usually suspects behind the bar. There is a cocktail list, but if you've come to the Swan you're probably after a nice, cold beer or a glass of vino. On the taps the Swan has a nice range of brews, both domestic and imported. And the wine list contains a selection of wines suitable to enjoy with a meal or to simply drink as they are.
