"Celebrate the very best our West Australian lifestyle has to offer at one of Perth's most famous alfresco dining locations. Enjoy great food in a comfortable and relaxed environment while you watch the world go by."

Editorial

Occupying a corner of one of Perth's most fashionable streets, Cafe Villa has been serving coffee, food and wine to Leederville visitors for well over a decade. The sun has barely risen before they open the doors to hungry businessmen and locals clad in exercise gear enjoying a morning coffee with their fluffy pooches at their feet. On the breakfast menu you'll find plenty of options to choose from, including the standard bacon and eggs along with a few innovative dishes like corn and potato cakes.

The interior of Cafe Villa is a familiar sight with its terracotta tiles and wicker chairs but the alfresco area is where the action happens. There's an undeniably cosmopolitan atmosphere here as scooters zoom around the corner and fashionable thirty-somethings rush in and out of local boutiques before meeting with friends for lunch. Speaking of which, the lunch menu at Cafe Villa offers a range of light meals like gourmet-filled ciabattinis, pastas and fresh salads as well as more substantial dishes such as nasi goreng or the grilled venison steak on sweet potato rosti. All meals are made fresh to order and there are several vegetarian and gluten-free options available. I hear the pasta dishes are pretty tasty, with the Villa smoked chicken and fresh asparagus parpadelle in a white wine cream sauce being a popular choice, as is the chicken and herb meatballs with fettuccine. If you're popping into Cafe Villa after catching a flick at the local Luna Cinema, it's always best to make a booking to avoid disappointment. You can just imagine how busy this place gets!
