XWray
Editorial
Breakfasts here are definitely a cut above the average fry-up. Start your day with pears poached in ginger beer and cinnamon with ricotta on sultana toast, or if you're after something a little more substantial try the grilled polenta with sauteed English spinach, field mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and camembert. The lunch menu is nicely balanced between vegetarian and meat dishes and the cafe has taken the standard BLT and made it their own with the addition of avocado, caramelised onion and homemade mayonnaise on organic bread. With the Luna Cinema opposite, and plans to open for Friday and Saturday tapas dinners in the near future, this is fast becoming the place to go for a meal and a movie.

As a devotee of the original Wray Cafe, I'd have to say I'm also a huge fan of the X-Wray. The staff are pleasant and helpful, the food is also wonderful - the pancake stack for breakfast is always a great sat-sun morning treat!

You've got to try the scrambled eggs with fetta and basil... it's divine! Ask for your latte in a mug... a cup is never enough.

Salmon was nicest I have ever enjoyed, with delicious crisp crust. Service very friendly.Atmosphere relaxing and casual, could have skipped our movie but had pre-purchased tics.
