Never to be outdone by Perth, Fremantle has its fair share of quality Indonesian restaurants too. Overlooking Fremantle port, the Victoria cafe attracts a good deal of tourists, however there are plenty of locals who claim to be addicted to the beef rendang here. While breakfast is a curiously western affair here, lunch is popular for a cheap and cheerful. The kare ayam - chicken and potato curry and rice and the nasi goreng are solid favourites. For dinner the banquets are great value. For just over $20 you’ll dine on a six course feast. Good spot for the kids too.
