Champions Bar

Not just for champions, this bar also welcomes less-than-champions for a cold, consoling beer.

Editorial

Housed within the mighty, glass pyramid that is the Burswood Entertainment Complex (isn't there a casino in here somewhere?), Champions bar is exactly what the name implies: a place where winners congregate and slap each other on the back with cries of ??Good show, old man.' and ??Great game, Reginald.' If only such a place existed. Champions is close to this, but a little more on the accessible side, with live sports and a humming bar to keep you entirely entertained every evening. And you're more likely to find a pack of Aussie males throwing back a few cold ones than a group of sportsmen discussing their last match.

The wood-themed decor is more reminiscent of ye olde English pub than ye modern sports bar. The wooden tables work wonderfully with the wainscoting, relaxing the mind and helping you forget you've backed another looser in the number four at Ascot racecourse. And if you're wanting for a conversation topic, the walls are littered with a truck-load of sporting memorabilia. Ever wanted to touch the glass covering a test match bat? Well, knock yourself out.

Naturally, a hefty selection of beer is on hand. From all your regular tap beers - VB, Carlton Draught, Coopers etc - to boutique imports. And if you don't find what you're after, well, this is an entertainment complex, after all. Someone out there has to have your beer!
