Atrium, Burswood Entertainment Complex
Editorial
Those close to me know how I feel about buffets. The thought of selecting dinner from a table laden with tasteless, limp, room-temperature food is certainly not my idea of enjoyable dining. I've always preferred quality to quantity. But mention Atrium Buffet at Burswood Entertainment Complex and I'm there before you even finish your sentence. Located under the glass-roofed lobby of the InterContinental Perth Burswood, Atrium Buffet takes the good old smorgasbord to a whole new level of dining.
A smart, stylish interior and gentle atmosphere emanating from the nearby lobby reminds diners they are in a five-star hotel and are about to experience undoubtedly one of the best buffets in Perth. Forget smelly prawns with cloudy eyes, mundane salads and lop-sided pavlovas - you won't find any substandard cuisine here. Instead, you can expect to gorge yourself on the likes of fresh seafood, meats and salads. A delicious carvery, and hot buffet offer a number of dishes with a unique mix of Asian and Western flavours. The presentation of food is impeccable and each section - whether it be soups, salads or desserts - is just as fresh as the next. Speaking of desserts, diners of all ages will delight in the number of cakes, pastries, fruit platters, cheeses and ice-cream to choose from. My advice is start small and sample as much as you can. Atrium Buffet is also a fantastic venue for celebrating birthdays with a complimentary birthday cake and a glass of sparkling wine for you and each of your guests (of legal drinking age). If you plan to visit between Monday and Friday, ask about the free valet parking when you make a booking. Then again, after a generous meal, the walk back to the car may not be completely undesirable.
