The Cove Indian Restaurant
Editorial
This is the kind of restaurant you'd expect to find in one of the famous palace hotels of Northern India. Originally built in 1914, this stately home was lovingly restored 5 years ago. The poolside veranda has been added but heritage maintained with beautiful antique furniture throughout to create the feel of the British colonial era. A number of smaller rooms are available for intimate social or business functions. That old time colonial feel is complemented by elegant liveried staff offering the kind of attentive service you experience in the subcontinent.
The food is in the classic Moghul style of North Indian with colonial favourites such as butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. You will find all the tandoori specialties and curries we've come to expect from North Indian fare as well as a variety of vegetarian dishes. Recently voted Best Suburban Restaurant by readers of Perth's Sunday Times, they now offer an extensive buffet menu for $30 from Thursday to Sunday. You should leave room for their exotic Indian desserts. Good Indian cooking isn't so widely available in Perth and can be overpriced, so this is a good choice for a special occasion or just when the need for Indian cuisine strikes.
