Windsor Castle Hotel
Editorial
It's a busy bar during evenings and weekends but has plenty of room to move around. Indoors, the bar is decorated with unusual artefacts and paintings, which give it that offbeat Windsor feel. A sunken lounge area provides a perfect gathering spot, as does the spacious beer garden out the back. Palms and Island style shelters create a tropical feel, great for summer evenings downing cold beer, a little humorous on a cold Melbourne winters day.
Dinner is catered for with a varied menu. It changes every now and then but the Parma and fish and chips seem to be constant. As well as the more traditional pub options, you'll find some contemporary meals too. Prices aren't bad, with mains ranging from around $15 to $25.
All in all the Windsor Castle is a great local pub with a very relaxed atmosphere during the week and a busy and fun vibe on weekends.
