Festival Hall
Editorial
Over the years, except for 1956, when the Hall was filled with Olympic gymnasts and wrestlers, the iconic stadium has showcased rock legends such as The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Oasis, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Powderfinger. Continuing to dominate in 2010 with knock-out gigs, the Hall will host old school rockers Deep Purple and The Pixies, along with new rock heavyweights, The Temper Trap and LCD Soundsystem.
You won’t need to float like a butterfly or sting like a bee to get a beer, as Festival Hall has plenty of bars located in every section. Finding a parking spot near the Hall is about as much fun as a right hook to the jaw so best to get there by public transport. And if you fancy becoming part of Festival Hall history (and can go a few rounds) buy your ticket from the Dudley Street entrance Box office. BYO gloves.
