Tryst
Editorial
The front garden has been partly paved in, but the little picket fence remains and the effect is a homely feel, something that almost no other bar in Melbourne has. It's perfect for an early evening drink with work colleagues, and you could even take your mum there on an early weeknight. The crowd is mostly a local, young and professional set, but it's relaxed enough that most punters just want to enjoy a quiet drink away from the craziness of Chapel Street.
On the weekends the vibe picks up with heavier house music gracing the old rooms inside, giving it a private club feel that will easily put you in the mood for some more serious clubbing later on. A great place to hold a function, and a perfect place to start or end your night out with a little panache.
