Moser Room
Editorial
Inside this chic party venue, there is an over-the-top, east-meets-west chinoiserie theme with loads of old divans (and occasionally old divas), chandeliers, tasseled curtains, and gold paint encrusted mirrors. The whole place feels a naughty boudoir, verging on a tasteful bordello, the kind of place you'd expect Baz Lurhmann to be hanging out talking sets and costumes with his missus.
Catering for private groups of 50-200 people, the Moser Room offers a range of themed entertainment you can book through them the venue - from circus performers and cabaret dancers, to masquerade drag queens and even cartoonists. Food packages start at $10.50 per person, for a minimum of 50 guests, and include the usual suspects of mini quiches, pastries, spring rolls, chicken goujons and the tasty finger food delights. They also cater the drinks menu to your own taste (and budget).
There is even a 'DJ throne' - seriously, and even if you can't afford Prince to spin your discs, you may as well go the whole hog anyway and put out the red carpet for the royal treatment of your DJ and guests alike. Besides, if your DJ doesn't 'put another record on' and 'save your life' you can have a pretend revolution and 'hang the DJ' instead…hold on, let me see if I can fit another DJ song reference in… nope, I'm done.
