Love Machine
Editorial
Moving past that, this is one of those swanky little clubbed where all the boys have big hair, and wear skinny pants/jeans and pointy shoes, while the girls wear nothing much at all. It's definitely one for the style-conscious, and they've funnelled the money into the place to make sure it keeps them happy.
Split over three levels, Love Machine leaves little to the imagination - it's big and bold and beautiful, with frankly stunning light displays, a bone-shuddering sound system and pretty cool design touches, like the Alice in Wonderland inspired giant keyholes.
There's a slightly older crowd than some of the Chapel Street haunts, with a straight vibe on Saturday's and camper gay fun on Sundays. There's an impressive rosta of DJs, including gay party scene hero Peter McNamara. While it's never going to be the place for quiet introspection, there are several spaces that can be booked out for private functions. Cocktails are de rigueur, and the spirits are top-shelf, with a healthy imported beer list too.
Its brash and loud, but a whole lot of fun if you're party of the style scene. A bit like the neighbourhood, really.

I love Love Machine for their Sunday nights. It is my regular hang out. It has alot of class. The sheman on the door though named Pia isn't very friendly though and I have heard alot of stories about her. She is the only thing n the whole place I would change. The whole place has a great name except for her.
