Cleverly located on an s-bend of the banks of the Yarra, Kanteen is one of the best sites for a cafe south-side. The environmentally compatible design does its best to enhance the laid-back, almost ‘country feel’, of Kanteen. Indeed, there are few places better to sip your coffee of a summer’s morning. For breakfast the breakfast pide (egg, mayonnaise, cheese, herbs and spinach) is the go. For lunch, try the duck salad. The coffee is Genovese and generally well-made. Be warned - you will pay for that view though. They very obligingly supply rugs for the cooler months too.
