Coffee Darling is a fresh faced newcomer to South Yarra.

Editorial

The team behind the Federal Coffee Palace at the GPO and St Kilda's Cafe Racer have introduced a fresh and modern ingredient into South Yarra's coffee scene at the corner of Toorak Road and Darling Street. The proprietor, Danny Colls, is known about town for being on the money when it comes to café culture and manages to grab the moment and create café experiences that Melburnians just love. His newest venture, Coffee Darling, has quickly developed a loyal following in no small part thanks to a team of obliging staff (including his parents, Bill and Faye Colls) and inviting contemporary decor.

Genovese coffee is served alongside a breakfast and lunch menu of simple, fresh, no fuss fare in the form of cooked breakfasts, fresh filled sandwiches with bread from Baker D. Chirico and Philippas , classic variety cakes and tarts and really amazing fruit granitas.

At Coffee Darling you'll receive none of the pretentions that visitors to South Yarra often assume. Instead, you'll be greeted warmly, treated casually and served purposefully. Use Coffee Darling as an anchor point for exploring one of Australia's iconic shopping strips. Toorak Road has long been tarred with the 80s brush. The greed is good mantra still comes in whispers from the mouths of the painted mavens that haunt the boutiques that have long since lost their lustre.

Coffee darling? Why yes darling!
