Can you even claim to be a true Melbournite if you haven’t at some stage in your life frequented Thy Thy 1? Many of us discovered it during our student days. It made us feel cultured and most importantly, it was cheap. These days it’s still one of the best value options on the strip, but it’s looking a little worse for wear. The kitsch element remains and with it so does its quirky appeal, however the old girl ain’t what she used to be. Everyone should come here at least once and when you do, the pho is the go.
