The London Tavern Hotel
Editorial
However, their beer garden is where it's at. A paved courtyard with large wooden tables, a scattering of established trees, and comfortable chairs (a rarity when it comes to beer gardens) makes drinking here oh-so-easy.
Many beer aficionados are loving the trend to put fancy beers on tap nowadays. Not happy with VB? Well, how about a Stella or Fat Yak? The wine list is most appealing too. Any pub that realises there are more grape varieties than chardonnay and sauvignon blanc is way ahead in my book.
The food won't disappoint either. For those who avoid pub parmas, don't make that mistake here. There are Richmond locals who survive on the London's chicken parma alone.
With footy season upon us, be prepared for the onslaught of Richmond Football Club devotees of a weekend. For a more relaxed evening, head to the London mid-week for a glass of pinot grigio and a plate of saganaki and black olive skewers.

Great venue for drinks with work mates. On a hot Melbourne evening is there nothing better than a cold beer and a huge parma! Nice shady beer garden took the heat off which was especially welcoming given some of the hot guys we were looking at. Where did that guy with the huge guns disappear to?
