The Curry Club
Editorial
The Curry Club Cafe has been providing its customers with the finest of Indian cuisine for some ten years now. An institution with Richmond locals, The Curry Club is the perfect fusion of traditional dishes with contemporary classics. A variety of dining options are offered with the restaurant and bar the main hub of activity, especially at lunchtime when you can feast on the excellent value buffet. For an authentic Bollywood experience you can’t go past the Bollywood Lounge, an ideal party venue where you can tuck into delicious Indian fare while watching excerpts from classical and modern Indian movies on a plasma screen television. For special occasions, opt for the slightly more formal Upper Pavilion.
From the a la carte menu sample flavoursome dishes from the east and west that are steeped in tradition with a contemporary twist. Start with an onion bhajia (onion fritter served with their own house-made sauce) or tandoori moghul kebabs (spicy minced lamb mixed with aromatic spices). For a main course sample a traditional Indian curry, a fiery hot vindaloo, or velvet butter chicken comprising chicken tikka pieces simmered in cumin scented butter and served with a creamy, rich, tomato-based sauce. A variety of banquet options are also available. A reasonably priced, Australian-friendly wine list is offered with many options available by the glass.
