The Cricketer's Arms Hotel
Editorial
There is nothing glamorous about this pub, let's just get that clear right at the very start; but it is a great place for a beer and a not-so-quiet debate about sport. That's if you go on game day. During the week it's a quiet watering hole for locals.
The interior is much the same as the exterior, in that there isn't much to boast about, but the footy and cricket memorabilia that lines the walls is intriguing for the curious youngsters, and provides a trip down memory lane for the older punters.
The old bar is clunky but still works well in supplying liquid gold to the thirsty masses.
It's back to basics here really and that's the way they like it. If you're a sports nut and love your old fashioned Aussie sporting culture, check this place out next game day. They usually do a BBQ in the beer garden too; however the vibe depends on who wins the game, of course.
