This is one of Richmond's hot spots for Italian cuisine, and you will never exit these doors feeling unsatisfied, that's for sure.
The interiors are quite distracting, in a good way that is, with many unique features to the renovations. It's modern and clean yet charming and rustic. There are large open spaces with natural light and cosy little nooks to settle into and enjoy one (or more!) of the amazing delights on offer.
Drinks-wise, there's a tempting selection of cocktails all under $20. The wine list is not for the faint hearted, with many imports from Italy, Spain and France - not to mention some local beauties too. Any wine buff will not be disappointed, I suspect. And it's the same situation with the beer, with eleven local and imported beers on tap, and an even bigger selection in the fridge.
If you have trouble picking a brew, then ordering dinner might be a challenge too. Not because there is so much to choose from, but because it all sound delicious. It's Mediterranean here, mouth-watering meaty mains and pizzas. Of course, there is gelati for afterwards.
All in all, Royal Saxon's a great place for a sustaining meal and enjoying a drink in pleasant surrounds with friends or family. But keep in mind it does get a little busy and they don't take bookings. If you let the bar know you are waiting they will seat you as soon as possible.

Its a great place to hang, the food is awesome and the staff are so friendly. . Perhaps its you that was super arrogant Anthony
