This place really is the ultimate in forest cabins, though not in the traditional deer-head on the wall, shotgun under the counter style. The walls are white and stacked with split logs. The lights are made from bundles of sticks. Its rustic, yet slick design allows a city person to relax and not feel out of place. Large king size bed-like seating arrangements allow for intimate get-togethers with friends (and possibly strangers).
Lie back, take in the view of the city skyline and enjoy one of their unique cocktails (priced at around $18), or if you are in the mood, and in the right company, there's even French bubbles. Which would go perfectly with the King Island cheese platter if you feel a little peckish. There are many imported beers to choose from as well as the local ones, and a tidy wine list composed mostly of Australian quality wines.
Upstairs the den continues with two function rooms, one with its own private bar and spectacular views through floor to ceiling windows.
I'm describing a rather peaceful scene here, though I hear on Friday and Saturday nights, this snug hide away transforms into a bustling watering hole for the local wildlife.

Love it!! Great place to go anytime, especially when you just miss the train, and don't want to wait for the next in the cold... the staff always make you feel welcome

The moose head for me is classic... great place to chill out any night after work.. Should get the big boy (simon) to make you a martini which is the best in melbourne..... also the Charisma is the BOMB!!!!!!!!

I went to a 21st at Maeve Fox not so long ago. The function room was so nice and the food, was sooo good, the aranchini balls were my favourite.

The service is fantastic, and the drinks and food are top qual. Make sure you ask one of the friendly bartenders about getting a locals card!

We currently work down the road from Maeve Fox and recently had a staff function here. Great views from the upstairs rooms, fantastic food and friendly staff all helped make our night one to remember! Thanks!

Maeve Fox- Has never experienced any worse customer service in my life, 3 things which sum up Maeve Fox when dealing with function hire are: Unorganised Dishonest Dodgy Which has made me angry and upset- be careful they don't double book your party night as they did to mine which led me to have no party.
