Located on leafy Highett Street in Richmond, The Kingston Hotel is a convenient place for pre or post game drinks or meals or even just to get away from the city on your lunch break during the week.

Editorial

It’s an old bar, built around the 1800s and many of its old charming features have been retained. The front bar is a popular spot to warm up in winter and the spacious and leafy beer garden and courtyard are perfect for summer.

At the bar you will find quite a selection of local and imported beers and an even more spectacular choice of wines.

Lunch and dinner are a treat here. The menu is quite varied with options ranging from the traditional pub favourites, with their own special twist of course, such as Asahi battered fish and chips with wasabi mayonnaise, to some more unique dishes like the Buckwheat Pappardelle with oxtail braised in red wine with cinnamon and star anise. The vegetarian dishes don’t fall behind with Butternut pumpkin ravioli with butter, sage and toasted hazelnuts as an option. You can enjoy all the restaurant dishes in the comfort and atmosphere of the front bar too, if you wish.

Next time you’re out for the footy or cricket, check this place out. It’s a great spot for a not too rowdy drink and feed and you may even find some parking!
