The London Public Bar
Editorial
If you're going to have a hotel situated next to the water, you may as well take advantage of it. The London understands this. Situated a stone's throw from the bay, it's the ideal spot to watch the world (and the water) drift by.
During the warmer months you'll definitely want to grab an outside table. Whether you're there for a coffee or an informal meal, the views are spectacular and you easily wile away the hours watching ships come into port. If the temperature does happen to drop the lounge offers a roaring fireplace, sunken coaches and large windows with sweeping views. The top floor has been set aside as a function space and is very popular throughout the year.
Open for lunch and dinner throughout the week, The London has a good selection of wines to compliment their meals. Alternatively, you can forgo the meal and stick with a liquid lunch - the bottles being very reasonably priced. The accompanying beer selection might not be as impressive, but it covers all the basics and has several imported options.
