Editorial

Port Melbourne is renowned for its beautiful beaches, sea views, trendy boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants. Drifter's Alibi is a shining example of one of the suburbs offerings, but be warned, this isn't one of your run-of-the-mill venues. Embracing the flavours of Latin America, Asia and Africa, Drifter's Alibi's previously laid back decor is enhanced by brightly coloured mural walls, thick heavy drapes, mood lighting and preloved couches just begging to be sat upon. Drifter's Alibi offers three distinct function areas, including the African room - an exclusive area for that special occasion - and has a late licence with live entertainment daily so you can party the night away after savouring their delicious fare.

Head chef Mark Greer has created a menu that not only boasts traditional pub grub, but embodies flavours from around the world. Portion sizes are generous so be prepared to feast. Start with the Asian selection of spring rolls, samosas and dim sims, or a pastizzi filled with spinach and ricotta. Follow with the tempura fish and chips with a capsicum and snow pea salad and zesty lemon mayo, or the rump steak with chips, salad and a rich port jus. Drifter's Alibi is fully licenced and offers a variety of bottled beers from Asia, Central and South America, and Europe.
