North Melbourne's Errol's on the corner of Queensberry Street and, surprisingly enough, Errol Street, across form the Town Hall, has a certain cocky swagger to it. After all, there are a tonne of great eateries on Errol Street, so why does this one get to claim the name as if there's only the one? Well, for one thing it's been here for years, but far more importantly, the service and the food are pretty fine. There's a friendly charm to this old place that helps it stand out from the busy crowd. It's not going to set hearts and minds alight, but it carves its own little niche with a certain aplomb that's likely to see it hang around a good few years yet.
