Transport Hotel
Editorial
Since Transport first opened its modish glass doors several years ago, its popularity has seen no pause. Every Friday evening, the esteem in which the city holds this site can be observed. It's like Church for rowdy, but not too rowdy, drinkers. And, depending on the hue of your faith, the size of the crowd could be heaven or hell.
At least one of the hundred-plus beers is certain to appease even the fussiest lager snob. Contiguous to fine dining joint Taxi, Transport has a wine list to die. But it's beer that goes best with pub grub of a standard rarely found. Chicken Parmigianino is supposed to taste like this in your unassuming local. It never does. Here, perfectly rendered Anglo pub classics march from the kitchen at precision speed.
With its big screen TVs, simple fare and bonza beers, Transport is, in the end, a pub. Albeit one that takes its interior design inspiration from a dentist.
