A cafe is a cafe is a cafe until you add a brewhouse. That is what you get at the Portland Lane Cafe. A cafe, pub and brewhouse sit cosily against each other in a traditional pub environment of raw timbers, moody lighting and warm welcomes. The Portland menu offers pub grub with an Australian twist for between $15 - 25 a dish (crocodile and prawn skewers anyone?). The beer list is a real treat for beer lovers - in particular, the six-beer tasting paddle - where you may sample the brews from the James Squire Brewhouse. This place is an inner-city taste of something faraway.

We had a great experience here from the start when booking over the phone with a very bubbly person, to the exceptional service and great food would recommend the portland to all our friends
