The vibe downstairs is somewhat different. While upstairs is pretty shabby but cosy, the more intimate ground floor venue is verging on classy. Arty decor makes for a welcome respite for shopping-weary feet, and there are regular food promotions, including cheap, tasty and enormous pizzas.
While the food downstairs is a little more gourmet, upstairs caters for the beer, burger and chips crowd, and the ability to choose what mood you're in is a welcome one. Even upstairs, which really is a bit grungy, somehow manages to maintain a fun and frivolous vibe. The sprawling balcony certainly helps as the sun comes up on particularly fun dancing evenings that blend into mornings. Think Revolver except less gross!

Great for team lunches during the week and drinks after work. Gets a little rowdy late on Friday nights though. The food is reasonably priced and tasty with bar-size portions. Drinks are affordable. Its a comfy hang-out joint.

The Lounge is well known around Melbourne, from a clean eatery by day or a chilled evening beer to a bouncing nightclub after 11pm! The Lounge has got it all... Art work covers the walls, some of which are for sale. Supporting local talent in other ways too - short film showings and such other events. Check it out sometime :)

Great cheap night on Monday nights. Especially with Pay the time Upstairs. Order dinner at 6.30pm and pay $6.30!! Eash huh. Plus their $6 pizzas downstairs on Mondays too.. Cheap and tasty!

Lounge has kept me going for many years. their Club nights ROCK (especially BASS CAMP - thursday nights)and so does their Food (Suprisingly).

What a venue. It has been around or as long as I can remember. he usic is great on club nihgts and the vibe is even better.. Always a winner at Lounge. Plus the food is great too.. Who knew??

Lounge is a great place to start OR end your night. Being open since 1989, Lounge knows how to Rock! Its got great food at good prices, plus most nights of the week they have resident DJs playing from 10pm. Staff are great and the venue is fun with lots of room for dancing, sitting down or hiding away with that someone special. I highly recommend Lounge.

I love the lounge.. Been a melbourne institution for 20 years now!!! Best in DJs and food!!!
