Loop
Editorial
Loop is not only a slick and comfy bar to enjoy a quiet drink and bite to eat, it’s a purpose built screening venue that operates to support and expose Melbourne’s emerging and newly established artists. Anyone interested in projection and photographic art should check this place out immediately. Their website is very detailed and lists all the events of the current week.
The venue consists of a long bar to one side, a large projector screen at one end and the rest is filled with comfy low profile, soft lounges to relax in and enjoy your drinks and projections. The space is completely adaptable and is perfect for private and public functions of all kinds.
At the bar you’ll find an impressive selection of sparkling wine and champagne, a small but quality selection of reds, whites and desert wines and beers from at least eleven countries. The cocktails are unique and inventive and definitely worth experiencing. A little pricier than the pub, you’ll be paying around $8 for a beer and $9 for a wine. But this is not a scruffy old pub, it’s a project art space and bar hybrid. Remember that when your friends ask where you went on Friday night.
Loop is stylish, comfortable, good quality and entertaining. Whether you’re an artist or an appreciator of art, it is definitely worth checking out.
