Jwow Wine Bar
Editorial
Then there's the decor. Don't get me wrong, the well-lit bar is spacious and dark wood panelling adds a touch of class. It's just that it looks sort of like a traditional Chinese teahouse. Again, nothing wrong with that, just an odd choice for what purports to be a dedicated wine bar.
And dedication is key here. There are over 650 wines on offer, to suit all palates and wallets. You can even opt to buy most of the wines in carafe size if your not quite up for halving a bottle, but want a bit more than a glass. The staff are very attentive and know what they are talking about. Settle in one of the cream leather banquettes and order a good bottle, or even choose from a decent boutique beer bottle list, including White Rabbit stout. Just don't order cocktails - my Espresso Martini was the worst I've ever encountered. And I've encountered a few.

I worked at Jwow in 2009 and we never had a bad comment regarding the Espresso Martini, in fact, it was probably our most popular cocktail, so I read your comment with interest. I'll get James on the case and find out why.
