Tucked away, this popular eating and drinking spot has many appealing elements. The staff are relaxed and friendly, it’s ultra cool but not pretentious and the view from the windows is always entertaining. Sit back with some mates and drinks and watch the busy laneway buzz below. Hells Kitchen is, due to its location and cool underground vibe, the perfect place for any visitor to get a taste of the hidden treasures Melbourne has to offer.
The menu is varied and quality and includes a decent selection of vegetarian dishes. It’s also very reasonably priced. Desert is a popular main meal here with many people coming up just for sweets and drinks. The brownies are famous among the regulars and it has happened, on occasion, where they have completely sold out, resulting in riots all over town.
Whether you’re with the tourists or not, for something different, drop in for a revitalising meal, snack or drink to help you deal with that freeway congestion on the way back home, or even better, stay until peak-hour is finished.
