Chez Regine
Editorial
A small, long space with a cute little bar and vaguely French-style drapes, banquette seating and ottomans, the place is watched over by the almost obligatory shot of Audrey Hepburn, thin black cigarette holder in hand as the infamous Holly Golightly.
What makes the place well worth a visit is first and foremost the attentive, friendly staff who actually have to time to sit down and talk to you, and are certainly knowledgeable in the beer, wine and spirits industry. The other major drawcard is the price and range of said spirits, particularly the whiskies. They are ludicrously cheap for top shelf brands.
No doubt if and when things pick up for the place, the prices will rocket considerably, but for the meantime you should gather together an after-work posse and head in for a long and lubricated session on a Friday night. They don't kick out until five am if at all, which is just about the right time to roll into a cab and regret it all on Saturday morning.

Gorgeous! These people know their spirits, especially their gin and whiskey selection. Gosh I could had that Tanqueray all night! I think this site got it pretty spot on too: http://t-squat.com/issue6/tsquat_hospo_issue6.html#chez
