Biero Bar
Editorial
Inside may be a tad bright, but it's slickly designed, with a tiled floor, exposed brick walls and a large, funky bar overhung by chandeliers. Beyond the main bar a more intimate room provides plenty of ambience.
What immediately strikes you about Biero, however, isn't the interior design - it's the frankly stunning beer list. The boutique bottles are never ending, offering up an exciting trip around some of the globe's best independent brewers.
Hearteningly, for this reviewer at least, there's a good showing from Scotland from the awesome BrewDog stable. My recommendation is the Hardcore IPA - an unbelievable hoppy heaven which scored the Gold medal in 2010's World Beer Cup. If you're feeling brave, and rich, you can opt for their Sink the Bismarck at 41% and $200.
Biero's BeerVaults are ingenious contraptions resembling giant multicoloured test tubes behind the bar, like something out of Charlie's Chocolate Factory. Essentially they extract beer from the bottle, chilling and pressurising it so it can be poured as if from keg to tap, with all the tasty goodness included. A selection can then be served in a tasting rack, complete with tasty morsels from the kitchen. It's sheer perfection, and the super-knowledgeable staff will help guide you through.

Judith: don't waste any more of your time. I only opted to book online because nobody would pick up the phone. It took them over 2 days to get back to me and then they told me they were fully booked. Unacceptable customer service. I did eventually go, thinking I would love the place, but it was one of the most uninspiring food and drink experiences I've ever had in Melbourne.
