If it's bland, tasteless, cold food you want then you're in the right place. The chef/cook does NOT believe in adding spice to the food they cook. As for service, well they use to have fun, friendly, quick and efficient staff, but it seems that they quickly get replaced with SLOW, angry, inneficient staff that are quick to criticise you when you offer feedback or decide to complain about something. It use to be a busy place, and wating for your food wasn't a problem, because you could see they were flat out trying to keep up with demand, but that's all gone downhill. Now, the place seems empty, especially during what should be a lunch time rush. I for one have given up going there. I prefer to get what I paid for in a quick and timely manner. There are at least 8 other places within a 2 minute walk from Alfred's that have better, quicker service. Shop around and you'll be surprised.
