Geebung Polo Club
Editorial
No it's not a sports bar for Polo players, its just a fancy name taken from a Banjo Patterson poem with the same title.
The Geebung Polo Club is housed in the magnificent late 19th century building at 85 Auburn Road in Hawthorn East. The interior exudes the old fashioned class of this suburb. High ceilings and lots of space to move around provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere to wine and dine or even just to enjoy a well earned end of the day drink with work colleagues or fellow students.
The menu is diverse and contemporary but still retains a comforting home-style feel. At the bar you’ll find a good number of beers on tap, both local and imported and the wine list is comprised of many great quality Australian and New Zealand names.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the busy times when locals flock to take advantage of end of week happy hour and live acoustic and cover band entertainment.
Perfect for large get-togethers, upstairs is a large function area with its own bar and the beer garden with retractable roof (which are all the rage at the moment) is unbeatable on a sunny afternoon.
Get your family and mates together and head on over to the Geebung for plenty of good food, drink and entertainment.
