Ellery & Co is another of those small bolt-in-the-wall places that manages to flit seamlessly from bright cafe/brekkie joint to dark and moody wine bar throughout the course of the day. Interesting menu items like Australian wild rice porridge for breakfast are definitely unique, and it's Hawthorn location gives it the sort of loved-by-locals vibe that's hard to maintain in more inner 'burbs.
