Well, it seems as if no suburb in Melbourne is immune to the ferocity of the coffee aficionado. Flemington has now joined the ranks of suburbs with seriously good coffee with the arrival of Octane Kitchen. This quaint, retro café is about many things, but making good coffee is their priority. The owners could be classed as coffee masters and they also run the much loved Octane coffee kiosk in the CBD. Aside from coffee, there’s a good menu. Try the pancakes for breakfast – some of the best around, or the scrambled tofu. For lunch go the mezze plates. Service can fluctuate.
