The Vegie Bar began as a small takeaway some 16 years ago. It started as an ideal & has grown in many ways. We have been active in which we operate, by giving back to local non-profit organizations, schools, and neighborhood organizations, especially those that promote health and wellness and support our children.

Originally a take away that opened some 16 years ago, The Vegie Bar is now a steadily busy 150-seat restaurant that offers wholesome vegetarian dishes as a healthier alternative to fast food. Situated on busy Brunswick Street, it offers customers the choice of sitting out at a communal table enjoying the healthy fare, or inside the non-fuss dining room, where the service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere casual. Whether it's a bite on the run you're after or a full sit down meal, The Vegie Bar is able to accommodate, all the while keeping their prices unreasonably reasonable considering the location.
Breakfast is now available on weekends with a firm favourite the scrambled organic tofu with diced red capsicum, sliced spring onion, baby spinach, mushrooms, diced tomato, organic egg, fresh lemon and tamari served with toast. Choose a starter of homemade dips or an "in-between" of vegan soup, made daily. For something a little more filling try a wood fired oven pizza like the Moroccan with a fresh tomato and hummus base, mushrooms, roasted pumpkin, eggplant, red capsicum, olives and sesame seeds, or choose from noodles, curries, stir fries and pasta - all 100 per cent vegetarian and cooked to order using the freshest of ingredients.
An organic wine selection and cocktail menu is offered, or opt for a health tonic smoothie or organic herbal tea.
