No other suburb had such a plethora of dark and seedy pubs as Fitzroy and no other suburb has launched such a campaign to transform most of them. The Gertrude’s makeover has not been as extreme as others and the down to earth, no attitude atmosphere stills reigns. From homemade gnocchi to chicken parma the comfort food is well taken care of.
