Sentido Funf, in Collingwood, offers a plush little front bar. With its ornate wallpaper, antique lamps and kitsch oddities lining the walls, it's appropriately one of the many fine establishments Melbourne has to offer. Throw in friendly staff and professionally made drinks (muddled scotch in a tall glass with limes = scotch and dry) and the place is looking pretty good. Discover the garden lounge hidden out the back of the building and you'll fall in love.
While it might be one of the city's most opulent garden bars, Sentido Funf's courtyard is also a well kept secret. After all, why would the locals want other people taking their favourite corner table? Comprised of two parts (a paved outdoor area and a semi-enclosed glass room), the garden lounge is retro-futuristic delight; it's all smooth black surfaces, large open windows and a melding of nature and manmade environments that brings to mind a Stanley Kubrick film set from the mid '70s. Nowhere is this more apparent than the ?green room', which features a tree in the centre, growing up past a glass ceiling.
Add to all this a good selection of gins, vodkas and tequila, a reasonably priced tapas menu and friendly atmosphere, and you can understand why people prefer to keep this place under wraps.

This place goes off on Friday and Saturday and what a place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon ... I have done them all at this place and loved it!

Stay away! After a friend send an off steak back to the kitchen last night because it was inedible the manager screamed at us, snatched our wine off the table like a little brat and threw us out without a refund. And all this before trivia even started! Worst venue ever!

I adore this place and I love the steak! :-D I am a local and go there frequently. I have always found the staff to be really friendly. Love it!

Had a most delightful afternoon there this weekend. Sat out the beer garden with a few friends and had a cocktail and a few nibbles - buffalo wings were awesome! Love this place, if I ever think of a Sunday session, I think of Sentido!

Spent a great Saturday night there on the weekend. Really, really good food and service and cocktails! We liked it so much we went back on Sunday for a session in their amazing beer garden!
